Abstract Submission Guidelines

We invite authors to submit scientific abstracts for presentation at the 31st Annual VDAEPC Meeting 2027 in Berlin.

  • Submission deadline: 1 December 2026
  • Language: English
  • Maximum length: 250 words
  • Submission: Exclusively via the online abstract submission system

Abstract Structure

Please structure your abstract using the following headings:

  • Background: Scientific context and relevance of the study
  • Objectives: Aim of the study and, where applicable, the primary hypothesis
  • Methods: Study design, study population and methods used
  • Results: Principal findings, including relevant statistical results
  • Conclusions: Significance and implications of the results

Title and Author Information

  • The title should be clear, concise and specific.
  • The full names and institutional affiliations of all authors must be provided.
  • One corresponding author must be designated.
  • A current email address for the corresponding author must be provided.
  • All authors must have approved the submitted abstract.

Scientific and Ethical Requirements

  • The submitted work must be original and scientifically accurate.
  • Potential conflicts of interest and sources of financial support must be disclosed.
  • Studies involving humans or animals must comply with the applicable ethical and institutional requirements.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information.

Acceptance and Congress Registration

  • Authors will be informed of the acceptance or rejection of their abstract after the review process.
  • Following acceptance, the responsible author must complete the paid congress registration within 14 days of receiving the acceptance notification.
  • The participation fee must be paid in full within this period.
  • Only abstracts with a completed and fully paid congress registration will be forwarded to the Aesthetic Surgery Journal for publication.

Publication

Abstracts intended for publication must comply with the editorial, scientific and ethical requirements of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Acceptance for presentation at the congress does not automatically guarantee publication by the journal.
